3 Tips To A Healthier Lifestyle

Healthier living couldn't be simpler, just a few small changes to your lifestyle and you could be well on the way to feeling better about yourself. And the best part is, they are not even big changes, it's things we can all do to lead healthier lives.

  1. Eat more fruit
    Instead of packing a chocolate bar or a packet of crisps, take some fruit. Better yet, prepare some fruit and vegetables (carrots is always a good one) and snack on them throughout the day. Your body doesn't crave chocolate and sweets, it's your brain thinking it does. What your body actually needs is food that has high nutritional value with plenty of vitamins and minerals.
  2. Take the stairs
    Sounds obvious doesn't it? But taking the stairs instead of the escalator or lift is just one small way of raising your heart rate every day and can help keep you in shape. Now if you work on the 23rd floor I'm not saying you should walk all the way up, but how about getting off on the 20th floor and taking the next three stories by the stairs.
  3. Relax
    Too many of us don't have the time or inclination to relax. Try and spend at least one weekend every month either out of the city or some place where nothing is happening and you can be alone and have some 'me time'. Take a book, do a puzzle, it's amazing how much benefit you can give to your body when you switch off and let your subconscious do the work for you.

Follow these very simple tips and you will find that you are well on your way to leading a much healthier lifestyle. Remember, the key to staying healthy and having a long life is to eat well, exercise regularly and to keep your body thoroughly relaxed.
